NLP
Neuro-Linguistic programming (NLP) has been called ‘the art and science of personal excellence’ and ‘an instruction manual for the mind’.
Created in 1975, John Grinder and Richard Bander researched three psychotherapists, who were known internationally to achieve outstanding results: Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir, and Milton Erickson. This research was called the ‘study of excellence’. The aim of the research to was identify what made these three therapists so successful and how their learning could be passed onto others.
Definition of NLP
Neuro: The nervous system, through which our experience is processed via five senses: visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory.
Linguistic: Language and other non-verbal communication systems through which our neutral representations are coded: pictures, sounds, feelings, smells, taste, self-talk.
Programming: The ability to discover and utilise the programs that we run in our neurological systems to achieve desired outcomes.
You can use the principles and techniques of NLP to make fundamental and long lasting changes, both at work and in your personal life. It allows you to understand and connect your conscious mind to go through a journey of self-discovery, which include:
- Setting crystal clear goals & outcomes
- Changing internal representations to achieve positive results
- Building rapport
- Improving communication
- Releasing negative emotions and limiting beliefs
- Removing phobias
- Installing and changing strategies
Using the techniques of NLP, coaching and hypnosis, you will learn to trust your unconscious mind and by doing this you will be taking control of your goals and outcomes, which may in the past have seemed unachievable.
